Data TabLater stores

TabLater stores the tab URLs, titles, scheduled times, recurrence settings, and notes needed to reopen your tabs later. This data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage.

Data TabLater does not collect

  • No account information.
  • No tab URLs, titles, favicons, or note text in analytics.
  • No advertising identifiers.
  • No remote copy of your tab list.

Analytics

TabLater uses PostHog Cloud for website analytics and simple extension usage analytics. Extension analytics include event names such as extension installed, popup opened, tab saved, tab reopened, and extension uninstalled, plus coarse details such as whether a saved tab had a note, whether it was recurring, the delay bucket, browser language, screen size, extension version, approximate install age, and approximate country inferred from request metadata.

TabLater does not send saved tab URLs, tab titles, note text, or favicon URLs to PostHog.

Support and feedback forms

When you submit a support request or rating feedback, TabLater sends the email address and message you provide to Web3Forms so the request can be delivered to the TabLater support inbox.

Current extension builds also include technical context with support and feedback submissions: extension version, page URL, active tab title and URL, browser language, timezone, user agent, platform, screen size, and IP-based city, region, country, and IP address. TabLater uses ipapi.co to look up this IP-based location context.

Favicons

TabLater may store a favicon URL for a saved tab when Chrome provides one. When no saved favicon is available, the extension uses Chrome's built-in favicon API to display the page icon inside the extension.

Third-party services

  • PostHog Cloud: website and extension usage analytics.
  • Web3Forms: support and feedback form delivery.
  • ipapi.co: IP-based location lookup for support and feedback context.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

TabLater's use of information received from Chrome extension APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Export and deletion

You can export your local tab data from the extension. You can delete saved reminders and history from inside the extension or remove the extension from Chrome to clear its local extension storage.

Contact

For privacy questions, use the support form on the main site or the contact form inside the extension.
